Good morning @user_yx4tpa, and thanks for visiting us on the community forums, I hope you are having a good week so far. As a single parent I know there are unexpected expenses that may cause a bill to need to be paid at a later date. Depending on the account, we do have a option called a payment arrangement that lets you choose a date to pay a past-due balance. You can find the steps tp set that up here.

You would not need to do anything to forward the balance it would just become due with the next bill. You can set up a payment arrangement if needed through the Xfinity app if available. Please check out this link for more information Set up a payment arrangement for your Xfinity balance.
