did you call me with a half price offer?

I received a call from Comcast offering to cut my bill in half from 232 to 115 for 2 years if I pay 6 months in advance, that is 690 dollars, I was suspicious and I called the number on my bill to check if it was a valid offer or a scam, but the costumer service person was not interested in reporting the number,[Edited: "Personal Information"], instead she was trying to upgrade my services, WHAT IS GOING ON?

Hello alfredo33175, thanks for reaching out to us here with this concern. It's always best to check to make sure you're not being scammed, and in this case unfortunately it sounds like someone was trying to silicate your information to scam you or use your identity. If you'd like I can check to make sure we did not reach out, for further assistance please send me a private message with your full name and street address.

"Searching for Xfinity Support" won't work. To send a "Direct Messaging" message to Xfinity Support:
• Click "Sign In" if necessary
• Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or https://comca.st/3kajO4e
• Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
• The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there
•  - As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list
•  - An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
• Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
• Press Enter to send it
See https://comca.st/2XfS9FQ for an example.

Today I was left a voicemail saying I could save 50% on Comcast and to call back [Edited: "Personal Information"]. I called and they answered Comcast offering to cut my bill in half for 3 years if I pay 6 months in advance and could cancel at any time.  Seemed odd when being put on hold the messages were a mixture of Comcast and Xfinity. He asked for my phone number for the account and my address and he was able to tell me what the cost is for my next bill. Then I was thinking this could be legit since he knows my monthly cost. I told him that I wanted to reach out to Xfinity to see if this was a scam and he told me I had 24hrs to call back for the deal.  Scam or legit?

Scam.

If you have gotten a call claiming to be from Comcast asking you to buy gift cards or paying upfront for six months or more in exchange for 50% off your bill the FTC is well aware of this scam.  If you get a call like this you can report it to:     https://reportfraud.ftc.gov/#/
Please help to stop the spread of this kind of fraud.
Thanks!
