The problems most people are having with their X1 devices are due to very poor quality software no doubt created by off shore resources. This kind of product is not rocket science but as most multi-billion dollar companies that are so short sighted they save a few bucks rather than hire qualified American Software Engineers to produce a quality product. As a Software Engineer with well over 20 years experience I can tell you that the signs of poor workmanship are abundantly clear in the X1 product line no doubt created in Indian or some similar 3rd world environment. Perhaps Comcast should contract with Americans such as myself. Yes I might cost a little more money but the work provided would be far better quality than anything coming from your off shore suppliers. In fact in the long run you will spend more money having them fix the problems they create than you would having it done right the first time. Just a thought for your consideration Comcast. I prefer cable over satellite but after a while of constant rebooting in the middle of your favorite programs one begins to wonder if the satellite option is not the way to go.

I've been having problems like this on a weekly basis. It appears that Comcast has choosen to use Indians to write the software for their X1 devices. Indians are notorious for "low quality" software that is acquired at a very low cost. Like everything else in like you get what you pay for when it comes to software and Comcast a company that makes $BILLIIONS$ would rather scrimp and save a few bucks at the cost of quality on their Flag Ship product. Should their competition discover what they've done i'm sure their choices to employ poor quality products created by foreign software developers will no doubt wind up in a commercial some where.
