WIFI modes question

Sorry I'm not really good in this so if someone can answer this that would be great. I just want to know if my wifi modes are set correctly. I didn't change anything so these are the defaults. For 2.4ghz WIFI mode is 802.11g,n  For 5ghz the mode is 802.11.a,n,ac  are those correct. My wireless gateway model is TG1682g. My internet works fine I just want to make sure my WIFI modes are correct.

Thanks

That's fine. The only question for 2.4 g,n would be if you had any actual b devices that need to be supported. That's a real old standard so it probably doesn't matter anymore.

I experimented with the bandwidth settings and saw a big speed jump, I raised them up for better speed, but to high will slow you back down

How do you figure ? Please explain how having more bandwidth / wider channels is technically counter productive ?

Well from what I read, if too high it can overlap with neighbors close by, it all depends on your environment, personally I found higher was better, especially on 5g, but between 80 and 160 it was about the same

Double capacity capability is just that,  double capacity capability.
