Routing Issue - Extra Hop causing Packet Loss

I'm currently having a routing issue connecting to resources in Dallas. Specifically for Riot Games/Valorant.

When I connect to their primary router in Dallas at 104.160.134.1 it is 8 total hops, including the destination and everything works flawlessly.

tracert 104.160.134.1

Tracing route to pr01.dfw01.riotdirect.net [104.160.134.1]
over a maximum of 30 hops:

1 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms GT-AC5300-A1B0 [192.168.11.1]
2 15 ms 8 ms 8 ms 96.120.23.1
3 7 ms 7 ms 7 ms 96.108.91.129
4 14 ms 9 ms 9 ms 96.108.37.29
5 8 ms 8 ms 9 ms be-105-ar01.sshackleford.ar.lrock.comcast.net [96.108.37.197]
6 16 ms 15 ms 16 ms be-33656-cr02.dallas.tx.ibone.comcast.net [68.86.90.213]
7 16 ms 14 ms 14 ms be-12495-pe03.1950stemmons.tx.ibone.comcast.net [68.86.85.194]
8 15 ms 22 ms 15 ms pr01.dfw01.riotdirect.net [104.160.134.1]

Trace complete.

However, when I get connected to the backup router in Dallas, 104.160.134.3, there is an additional hop and I have 20%+ packet loss. The additional hop is comcast-gw.la1.unitedlayer.com [75.149.228.202]

The additional hop, comcast-gw.la1.unitedlayer.com, seems to be causing a tremendous amount of issues not just for me but for others as well. I found a similar post on this forum from roughly a month ago with no assistance or help or resolution in the post. https://forums.xfinity.com/t5/Your-Home-Network/Selective-Lagging/td-p/3317461 as well as multiple people on Reddit and other places posting the same issues with the same hop. One person replied and said they called support, a tech came on site, did something and that hop was gone after and they no longer had any issues. Now I know a tech coming on-site is not going to change the routing I'm getting. But there's no other details on it so I'm not sure what actually resolved it for that user.

All I know is the routing is currently an issue going to the same data center, two different IP's. And I shouldn't be getting that extra hop and I need to know how to resolve it with Comcast/Xfinity support.
