Did you try a hard reset of the modem? Use a paper clip to press in the button on the back of the modem (or wherever your reset is), hold it in for about 10 seconds. Let the modem reset, then try again. If you have a dual band router (2.4 ghz, and 5 ghz) try the 5 ghz band, as this worked for me. My 2.4 ghz band is still slow, but when using direct connect with an Ethernet cable, and using the 5 ghz band when I'm using wireless seems to get me to the speed I'm paying for (300 mbps)
