Packet Loss Help

Can someone please help me with similar issues on this post?

When gaming I frequently lag. 

 

I've been troubleshooting multiple steps and it seems like there's an underlying issue.

This is bypassing the splitter and router. Directly from the wall to my modem and into a laptop.

 

I have a direct line from the junction box on my apartment complex directly to the wall where I get the coax connecton. The new single line was installed a few years ago.  I have newer Netgear modem I bought two years ago. 

When I game lately I've been lagging. It doesn't happen all the time but often enough to be an issue.

 

My friend is a network admin and suggested I post here for help.

 

Any help is much appreciated.

Hi @JaredM21 , seems like everything's within the proper thresholds in your screenshots. Checked your historical plots on the back end and the values line up. 

 

With your gig service, it makes sense to not have to deal with any lag, gotta maintain that KDR. It's very unlikely your modem as the CM1000 has been great (it wouldn't hurt to do a hard reset on it). Assuming you've also hardlined and updated your mobo/NIC drivers, or if you're on wireless, your wireless NIC.

I did see a note from a tech about line flux and do see some differences and did notice some questionable node values, so I'm reaching out for us to see what's up.

Thanks for the reply.

I plugged directly from my modem into my laptop and my speeds were only 150/30. I don’t think I’m getting gig speeds.

Also. The lag is intermittent. Some days it’s perfect and other days it’s unplayable.
