I tried to install pods to boost WiFi in dropping zones in house. After an hour on phone with “tech”, our devices are not locating our modem, the WiFi is no longer secure when found, and when we finally connect, WiFi drops in about 30 seconds. We have done about 15 modem resets including Xfinity remote “reset.” Incredibly frustrating.
Most likely due to RF interference in the home: Appliances, Wiring in walls, metal, etc. Ethernet connections may be needed in some locations. Signal may have problems going through walls or floors.
