Devices still connected to the interet even though they are paused

I have my children's devices paused for bedtime.  Their porfiles show that everything i s pauses until wake up time, but they are still able to access the interent all night long.

Thanks for reaching out to the Comcast Digital Care Team via our Forums @aj2021. Seeing your kids be online even after setting up restrictions would be frustrating and never something we want for you to deal with. Being a father of 3 kids I can relate to making sure my kids are not online all night long too. You have come to the correct place to work alongside of you in making sure to find the proper resolution. We are in this together till the end!

I had the same thing happen to me a little while back and found out that my kids were still able to get online due to having cellular data and turning on their mobile hotspots via their phone. By any chance did you see if this might be the case?

This feature does not work at all.  I am on my xFI network with this specific device.  I checked the network the device is connected to, and ensured all other hotspots are turned off and yet I can still access the internet.  Maybe I just need to put my DLINK or LINKsys router back in the system and manage it from there as XFinity clearly cannot manage this after at least a few years of complaints from customers.

And FYI…I just signed up for this forum on the device that is paused…probably needs more public shaming to get Xfinity to fix this.
