Are you sure the 'hidden network' is your network and not a neighbors? If your modem/router is broadcasting its network name, it should show up as an option to connect to. Are you able to log into your modem/routers' admin page to look at the settings?

FWIW, if this is a Comcast supplied gateway device, the "Hidden" broadcast / SSID is present for the purpose of interfacing with the Comcast home security systems, not general internet devices. More details please..
