Xfinity Flex remote doesn't work, Netflix constantly crashes

My new flex works about 15% of the time. The remote buttons have to be pushed 4-6 times for a function to actually work. The apps crash and log me out regularly. Netflix opens 1/10 times and crashes after it streams a show or movie for about 10 minutes. When Hulu crashes, it logs me out. And the Xfinity online chat has no help services for troubleshooting the flex.
