Modem has advanced security enabled. But I’m not enrolled
I received a different modem as part of a tech visit to address xi5 box errors (rdk-03807)
However, this modem seems to have xFi advanced security enabled. I am not enrolled in this.
I keep getting xFi advanced security notifications when trying to access things like my doorbell or Remote Desktop from outside the home.
If I click on the notifications tab is shows the modem is enrolled, and when I click on see threat, it takes me to a sign up page for advanced security.
Numerous calls to tech support have told me:
1. this modem does not qualify for advanced security
2. I’m not being charged for advanced security
3. Renewing dhcp lease will solve all my problems
4. Holding reset on the modem will solve all my problems
Now it took about 20 phone calls in total, a desperate letter to corporate, to get a faulty cable box replaced.
I’ve already had a few tech support text sessions, and a few call ins. They do not seem to understand the issue I’m having.
Has anyone experienced this?
