Streaming on computer issues
My player is acting up while streaming on the computer through xfinity (everything else works fine; Netflix, etc.)
The xfinity streaming player video is pixelated, cut in half horizontally and at times not coming in at all.
This started Monday morning. (had no issues prior to Monday.)

All,
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you are experiencing when attempting to use Xfinity Stream. We are currently investigating a possible bug in Chrome 78 that may be causing this. In the meantime, we recommend trying one of the following workarounds by either:
1. Disable hardware acceleration in Chrome. Settings > Advanced > Use hardware acceleration when available > OFF > restart Chrome.
2. Play the TV GO version of the On Demand item. From the More menu button (… icon), choose Watch Options > choose the TV GO option (usually at the bottom of the list).
Thank you in advance for your patience as we continue to work to resolve this permanently.

On 10/24/2019 while on my pcs (win7 and win 10) running chrome I was having pixelation issues when watching on demand programs but live channels are ok? Talked with support when this started and they said it was a network issue??? Rebooting modem didn’t help. The problem seemed to be with chrome on windows. It is working ok on i-pad. Installed firefox (really did not want to but cant install safari on windows anymore as is not supported) and it seems to be working ok on firefox. Why is chrome an issue? It has been doing it since then as well. On chrome, on demand stream is pixelated badly and but live channel stream is ok, Firefox running ok. Noticed today xfinity stream of either on demand or live channel getting choppy at times on any browser. ??? Whats up xfinity??? Netflix streams ok I have dual 25" screens and like to watch tv as i am working

I am having the same issue with pixelation. It only happens on the xfinity stream. If I go elsewhere to watch it is working fine. Its also working fine on edge. It seems to only be an issue with the chrome browser and it just started today. 10/30/19. I'm really getting annoyed because I spent an hour nearly with xfinity support in chat and they did nothing to help. I've cleared cache, I've uninstalled and reinstalled chrome. I've changed out cables and reset the router. I've had a refresh done by comcast TWICE. but nothing has fixed this issue. What is going on? The only thing that has changed is that earlier today there was a javascript update. Could that have done this? Getting annoyed that I have to use my edge browser when I have all my stuff saved and convenient on my chrome.

I've had exact same issues and firefox workaround as you discribed. I really hate the Xfinity streaming app/website. I wish they would just let us sign in through channel websites and apps like every other cable provider does. Xfinity makes this extra layer of gatekeeper mediation between us and the content we want. Less programs available, longer wait times for new episodes to appear for on demand streaming, taking 1/2 of my favorite channels off of my basic package and now this glitching nonsense! I really wish I could convince my fam to drop Xfinity but they are too complacent and unwilling to try new things.

I've been experiencing the same Chrome issue. Pixelation on On Demand while streaming using windows. Disabling the hardware acceleration in Advanced Settings solved the problem.
