Ondemand Picture keeps pixelating!!!!!!!! Poor quality for past 4-6 weeks.

I am on a new ThinkPad- Flash has been enabled.  Live TV, no issues.  Issues only occur when watching Ondemand.  The picture pixelates and  makes it impossible to watch.  I have had it up to my eyeballs with the poor service from xfinity and cannot understand why in god's name it is so difficult to watch a show on my latop- I have been doing it for years and about 4-6 weeks ago, I was auto logged out and service has not been the same since.  I have tried rebootting modem.  restarting laptop.  clearing cache.  nothing works.  Why oh why oh why???? Super frustrated.

The problem seems to be with chrome on windows.  It is working ok on i-pad. Installed firefox (really did not want to but cant install safari on windows anymore as is not supported) and it seems to be  working ok on firefox. why is chrome an issue?

I have the same pixelation problem with Chrome (v78.x) on Windows 10 1903.   Not installing flash under Firefox.  Tried the Microsoft Edge browser and it seems to be working for now.

i found that the Xfinity on demand video that is pixillated like all get out on Chrome, can be seen clearly without pixillation on the History channel under the Xfinity subscription ON CHROME!!  check it out: :Ancient Aliens Season 14 episode 5, secrets of Stonehenge.  so... looks like it is an XFINITY issue NOT a CHROME issue. nor a Flash issue?

damian on site, also found that although the hallmark channel pixellation has been 'fixed' i still have pixellation on ABC's Grey's Anatomy, and PBS  History Patterned planet,but on PBS. Org and ABC.com the pixellation is NOT there.

soo, Xfinity still has work to do in both fixing and finding all the on demand contractuall channel pixellations.

**Update 12/12/2019**

With the recent release of Chrome 79 we have verified that we can no longer replicate this issue. In the coming week, all impacted users should start to see this resolved. In order to facilitate this fix, we recommend waiting until your Chrome version updates or manually performing the update yourself. For additional information on how to update your Chrome version, see here: https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/95414?co=GENIE.Platform%3DDesktop&hl=en

Thank you again for your continued patience as we worked to resolve this.

@bostonkat

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you are experiencing when attempting to use Xfinity Stream. We are currently investigating a possible bug in Chrome 78 that may be causing this. In the meantime, we recommend trying one of the following workarounds by either:

1. Disable hardware acceleration in Chrome. Settings > Advanced > Use hardware acceleration when available > OFF > restart Chrome.

2. Play the TV GO version of the On Demand item. From the More menu button (… icon), choose Watch Options > choose the TV GO option (usually at the bottom of the list).

Thank you in advance for your patience as we continue to work to resolve this permanently.

Additionally, we recommend that you check to ensure your devices and web browser meets our minimum system requirements needed to use the Xfinity Stream website, found here: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/xfinity-tv-website-requirements

Please note, not all web browsers/devices support the Xfinity Stream website.

Did that and seems to FINALLY be working- note to others the watch options are on the show page under 3 dots on right.  All watch options work now.

Thank you!!  So appreciate the assistance.
