Amount of % of recordings disappeared

2 days ago I was looking at the Xfinity stream online and the bar that showed the percentage was on there. Then yesterday I was looking again online at the stream page page and that dissappeared. That was very helpful in knowing how ful the DVR was. Our home DVR never goes above 62% full however when looking online it always said 90% full. There is a huge discrepancy between what I am seeing online and on my home DVR box. I am not happy that feature was taken away. Is there a way to accurately know how full the DVR is now?

I was the one who originally posted when the % of recordings first disappeared from the Stream app, but at least it was still available to check online if I was concerned about it. I've been monitoring this thread since it started because I was very aware when the information then disappeared online.

What's the point of the forums if no one from Comcast actually responds to our concerns? The volunteer experts can be helpful, but, if no one from Comcast is monitoring and responding, what good does it do us to question what's happening? Nothing will change if our feedback is ignored.

comcast may have been getting too many questions about why the cloud and home DVR have different percentages. I wish that they would just do something like '20 hours of 60 hours currently used'.

Rustyben, it was your assumption at the time of my original post that Comcast was having difficulty with the customer's understanding of the difference in storage between our home dvr and our allowed cloud storage for streaming with the app. There would be no misunderstanding if Comcast would be transparent and consistent with its information. I am not a Comcast hater; I actually like and appreciate the service that I have and the Stream app that I use on my iPad. But removing information that is useful and not giving us any reasons or options for feedback makes no sense. How do we get someone to respond who has actual information as to why we totally lost this data? Am I able to add up the minutes of my Stream recordings and divide by 3600 to determine my own percentage? Of course I am, but the purpose of computers is to make my life easier and Comcast used to do this calculation for me. Why would they choose to remove it from our view. I believe they still have the information in order for them to determine when to delete programs and how many to remove. I used to be a programmer and this makes no sense to me

Yes,  what good does it do if nobody from Comcast responds to our posts.

How can you tell what is on the cloud to stream and what is on the DVR? Is there a difference?

smart devices including PCs use the stream DVR and by using one and going to recordings you can see what is on the cloud DVR at the moment. The cloud DVR holds up to the last 60 hours and recordings are removed as needed. the home DVR has more room to store recordings.

Kayb999, I just read your post and saw that you figure out the percentage by adding up minutes and dividing by 3600? Is that because of the total minutes allowed on the dvr is 3600? I would like to be able to figure my own out if possible.

Tired of having services removed especially when I upgraded and they sold me on all the things the be great. I’m done paying for services that were promised. Comcast no more after next Tuesday. To bad, been with then for many, many years. Good luck all.

Thanks! It's great to see that an official Comcast person has taken notice. Better late than never

When should we have an update and a "fix" to this problem?

Thanks

I wish that for cloud DVR they would just put how many hours (rounded up total) of 20 or 60

like 40 of 60 used or for DVR lite 10 of 20 used.

That would make so much sense--far better even than the percent.
