x1 reminders

I just got a new X1 top box. I hate it. How do I keep the reminders in my scheduled Que for that hour or half hour that the show is on. I would like it to work like my old box did. You could access the reminders for the duration of that show or shows. I think I'm going to go back to the old box because X1 is not good for my viewing habits.
