voice control doesn't work on first try

When ever I try and use voice control to take me to a show, I have to say the name of the show twice. I hold down the microphone button, say the show I want and I then get a message telling me to do exactly what I had just done. The second time usually works. This just started happening within the last month. It's so annoying and it's not just my voice that it happens with.

usually when that happens you hear an 'off-key' tone immediately meaning the voice connection is not available to comcast.

I have been reading several threads on the forums about the voice command function on the remote not working . Seems it was first reported in 2017 so most of the threads are older and are either 'locked' or 'answered' but the problem still exists and just started a few months ago for us and is becoming more and more frequent.  I have read all the rationales,  suggestions,etc. We get the 'off' tone and error messages.  Its happening more often than not and is extremely annoying and frustrating . Is this yet another feature that is not going to work as designed like smart resume?

 

Allow me set the stage:

 

1. We have had the voice remote function  since it was first available

2. Always use the remote from the same location

3. Batteries are fresh

4. Both our remotes  have same results

5. Have reset /refreshed the box and sometimes that works but not always

6 Clears overnight but problem starts again

 

I read in one very old thread that Comcast was working on it?????
