Hello all, we are still working to get the updates filtered out. In the meantime, we ask that you please allow us time to get them out to everyone who is still experiencing the stutter. We absolutely appreciate your patience and will reach out with any updates provided. Thank you!
ComcastAmira--Would you please advise us of the firmware/update number of the Netflix stutter fix? Thanks.
mfrank1, I don't have that info, but I'd be happy to reach out to tech ops on your behalf to see where we are with this issue. Please send me a private message with your full name for help.
Ken
The fix for Netflix stuttering got downloaded to my device and it now is working fine. The Release Version is 98.1.5 with an STB Timestamp of 27 Apr 2019 03:07:03 AM UTC.

@ComcastAmira Not pleased......I have a STB April 27 timestamp but Release Version is 98.1.2. Come on Comcast..... for heaven's sake roll the fix out to the rest of us. I am in Northern Virginia. Why is it taking so long?

Very interesting, Steven. Thanks for posting this. My Netflix is still stuttering. I checked, and my Release Version is 98.1.2 with an STB Timestamp of April 23. XRE Protocol Version 2.8.0 and Receiver Native Version of 3.6.0.
Perhaps others can post their info, noting whether their Netflix is still stuttering or not. If Comcast staff is monitoring, maybe they can advise about the delay in rolling out this fix to all customers.
mfrank1, did you see my message in PM earlier? I wanted to see if you got that call back from tech ops.
Ken
OK, I'll follow up with you and the team.
If you get a chance, would you please post the update release number and STB Timestamp from the Settings screen?

Release Version: 98.1.2
STB Timestamp: Sat 27 Apr 2019 03.06.26 AM UTC
Is that what you wanted mfrank1?
Yes, thank you Pfrwatlans. But does your Netflix still stutter? I have Version 98.1.2 and still have the stutter. Someone else posted 98.1.5 and indicated that version corrects the stuttering problem.
Sorry, Pfrwatlans. I see you said your stuttering problem was fixed. But now I'm thoroughly confused. We have the same Release version and I still have the stuttering problem. But our Timestamps are different. Yours is April 27 (same as the previous poster who has 98.1.5). Mine is April 23. Can someone from Comcast please verify the release version that fixes the problem?

I could post a pic if you need it
Thanks, Pfrwatlans, but not necessary. Though not at all surprising, it is disappointing that Comcast staff haven't posted the version number and timestamp of the Netflix stutter fix.

I am having this problem also. Reset Netflix, no help. Please help. Thank you.
does this happen on all of your set top boxes? using the voice remote command 'about' what is the rest of the line to right of 'STB Version.."?

Mikelanford, I also reccomend you check the coaxial cable behind your cable box. Did you move furniture lately? Often times if you have the coax running along the wall and the cable is moved, a stable can pierce the cabling and then, viola, signal leakage. Let us know!

that is the very oldest x1 DVR and has many issues. swap for a new version (no clock). if you have a couple of non-DVR set top boxes is one an XG2? (has its own tuners and frees up channels in use on your DVR). same price.

My one other box is an XiD-C. I will swap out. Can I jus take the one I have to the xfinity center here or must a technician install it? Thank you very much.
just need the box and power brick. you might ask for another xr15 remote while there (free).

Same issue
If known issues in specific hardware or software, Comcast should just ship me new boxes for my X1 and 4K service. Saying this because I’ve spent over 2 hrs trying to fix, researching, and find it’s a known issue!
so far there is no 2nd version of any 4k box.
tomanddayna, if you'd like to get some replacement boxes, I can help with that! Please send me a private message with your full name for help. Just click my name and then on the next page, you'll see an option to send me a private message on the top right hand side.

I’m having the same issue. We got a new x1 box about a month ago and have tried troubleshooting. How do I get a new box?
I found it was easier to just take the box (nothing else) to my nearest Xfinity Store. They give you a new wrapped up box with everything.
Don't use the old power brick; it is sometimes the cause of issues.
Hi, emmabgriffin. This issue should be fixed in all areas now, but in the past we were recommending a box swap to the X1 4K DVR. That was the temporary work around, but should no longer be needed. I would like to gain a few additional details about what you're experiencing and then I can confirm which recommended course of action would be best. I have responded to your private message regarding this concern and you are welcome to get back to me there at your convenience. Thank you!
Hello there I have been having this same problem since early last year. My stub version is PX013AN_4.0p7s1_PROD_sey. The receiver version is 4.0

Just added 2 more 4k wireless boxes to my system (now have 4) and now Netflix is stuttering only on my main 4k DVR box (Native version: 4.6.0) - even if it’s the only one in use!
how many wireless xi5/6 set top boxes are installed and working in the home? do you have at least one xg2 hub that can supply tuners and internet access (like netflix) to the xi5/6 boxes freeing up tuners and the modem in the xg1v4 DVR?
@ROBBRANDES605 wrote:
One of our older, non-4k coax-connected TV boxes is a XG2v2 (in the Account App it says it’s a PX022AN) - but I can’t imagine that’s the hub your talking about since it’s only HD quality. So I now have 4 active xi6 boxes (all working fine), the main 4k DVR (XG1v4) plus 4 older non-4k coax-connected boxes (the PX022ANM; 1 SR150BNM; and 2 PX032ANI). The messages from the TVs keep telling me to upgrade my boxes - which is why I now have 4 of the xi6s and another one in the mail to replace the SR150BNM. Any suggestions on next steps are much appreciated!
P.S. Also have the 3rd Gen xFi Gateway (TG4482A) and two 2nd Gen WiFi Pods...
the SR150 should be swapped for an xg2 imo. the tuners/modem in the xg2 supply internet and channel tuners. your mix should leave all 6 tuners in the DVR available to the DVR.
