Hi i live in a condo, which as far as i know only has comcast as a supplier. I have had an x1 box in my living room for some time without a problem. I just bought a 2nd box to put into my bedroom, there is a cable wall outlet there, so i hooked it all up to my new box but i dont seem to get any signal at all. Does this need to be activated ? is it likely a completely different "line" ? Is this something that can be activated remotely or does a technician need to come look at it ?

adding... by 'bought' do you mean you got it from the xfinity store and pay a monthly service free for the set top box?
