Xi6 connection to XG1v4 via MoCA adapter

Hi - I'm interested in upgrading my two cable boxes to be 4K capable, but I do not want to use Xfinity's internet gateway.  I'm very happy with my pfSense router and don't want to eliminate it nor do I want to put my pfSense router behind the Xfinity gateway and do a double NAT.

While I understand it wouldn't be supported by Xfinity, could I use a MoCA adapter, such as the ActionTec, to allow the Xi6 to communicate with the with the XG1v4?

Thanks,

John

no, the Xfinity devices do not connect to any 3rd party MoCA device. If the device is on the Comcast band and operating, the MoCA devices will not communicated with each other. I have a rented xb7 with xfi complete that is in bridge mode, I use my own router, too.
