I tried to call support this AM to request the 4k cable box. I have both cable and internet with Xfinity but I do use my own modem for internet purposes.
Anyways, I called this AM and the rep told me that they could not upgrade the box because I use my own modem? Is that true or is there anyways around this?

In short, the 4K DVR is available to be used with a personal gateway, but the 4K wireless box does require a leased gateway.
