XG1V4 set up problem

Got the XG1V4 box yesterday and was trying to set it up last night and this morning.  Keep getting error RDK-03004.  Tried to use chat tech support and couldn't get it resolved.  Have a tech scheduled to come Tuesday but am wondering if there's anything else I can do until then.  Tried the old X1 box and got the same error on that too which is confusing as it worked fine before I unplugged it to try installing the new box.  Cable internet works just fine.

That means there’s not a live coax signal, take another look at the cable itself and that you are using the proper coax input on the box

you just gave me the idea to switch out the coax from the wall outlet to the box, and behold it works! Thank you sir for the inspiration
