X1 DVR Storage
I currently have a single X1 DVR box (AX013ANM). If I purchase extra "cloud DVR storage" (150 hours or 300 hours) will that allow me to record more using that box?

Apparently, you can't include images. The screen says:
Do you want to upgrade your cloud DVR storage?
Watch your recordings on all your devices, at home or on the go!
20 hours (Included), 150 hours ($10/mo), 300 hours ($20/mo)

Hi @CCAndrew ,
Interesting. Below is a screenshot of the options I'm referring to when you sign up. They appear under where you select the number of TV boxes.
Perhaps that additional storage only applies to things scheduled through the Xfinity Stream app? It's a bit unclear to me.

I did a test and started a recording from the Stream app. The DVR showed the recording in progress. Before the recording, the DVR reported 10% storage used. After the recording, it showed 13% storage used. That leads me to believe that regardless of where the recording is started it must increase the available amount of storage when you purchase extra. I could be wrong though. If that's not the case, I don't see the value in purchasing extra.

Makes sense. The only place I've seen storage usage is on the actual DVR.
I also found this...
"Storage Capacity: Currently, your X1 DVR can record approximately 150 total hours of HD and/or SD programming on the hard drive, and 60 hours of cloud DVR storage per X1 DVR (150 hours in some locations)."

The percentage number while recording is not always accurate and may drop a few hours after recordings end. It seems to assume a certain level of file size while recording and takes awhile to adjust to what the actual size ends up being. This may also be why people sometimes complain about recordings being auto-deleted.
