X1 DVR Noise all the time

Just got a brand new X1 DVR box (with clock) this week.  It has a loud fan noise 24 hours a day even in sleep mode.  Model PX013ANM.  It is warm to the touch, even though it is open aired on a shelf.  Is this normal?  Anyway to turn the fan off?!?!?

That dvr maybe new to you but it’s the oldest X1 dvr and known for fan noise. Swap it out

So I needed a new DVR and this is what they sent me.   Its loud, obnoxious.

Why would Comcast send out something that clearly is flawed?

I hate this company.
