X1 Box Reset

Just venting because this issue won't ever be fixed.

My X1 Box reset window is from 4-6pm. Today the reset started at 4:45pm. The box came back online at 6:30pm. I feel fortunate if the reset ever takes just 20 minutes. This issue needs to be fixed, or customers need to be allowed to disable this 'feature'.

Did you try changing the window to 2-4am? You can do this in settings or try saying “daily reboot schedule “ into your voice remote.

Thank you for your response. While I have changed the window several times, I don't think I've used 2-4am. I thought a time with less viewers would make a difference, but it hasn't.  I do wish this 'feature' could be disabled, as opposed to being limited to skipping the update for only two consecutive days.

adding... the restart to refresh should not take more than normal power up time.

It was a complaint, a rant, not really a question. Someone did offer a solution, though, which was appreciated. To bottom line my complant, the ability to permanently disable this feature should be available to all.
