Tape over blue light on mini box

The blue light strip on the corner of the mini box (ALWAYS on) is very annoying.

From reading various posts, there is some diming options, but no 'turn off'.

Can I take electrical tape and tape over?

Yes you can but you can certainly turn it off

I will try changing the settings, but there is no "OFF" level, only dimming level 1-3. And other users reported that even level 1 is still quite bright in a dark bedroom.

So correct me if I am wrong: the light CANNOT be switched OFF.

Changing the setting from 3 (factory) to 1 does dim it quite a bit, but still annoyingly bright in a dark bedroom.

Putting tape over it isn’t going to hurt/affect anything

What box do you have? If it’s an X1 box, you can turn the light off. If it’s a DTA I don’t think it turns off

Press the "Xfinifty" button. Go to the settings icon on the far right. Select "Device Settings". Select "Device Lights". Keep arrowing to the left and choose "Off".
