Swapping out Old X1 for newer version

Has anyone had success with getting Comcast to let you swap old X1 box with newer version of X1 box?  The one I have is just awful.  Won't rewind live TV...If I am recording nobody else can watch, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't...and I pay for Gig speed.  I would like the XG1v4 but I don't want to have to pay out of the rear end to get it.

It’s just a box swap, no bill increase. Pick one up at your local service center

You should be able to swap any X1 dvr for the newest - there would only be another fee if you weren't paying for a DVR already or you are swapping one of the secondary boxes to get more storage.   If you live near a store they should give you one with 30 days to return the old one.   Apparently some places don't stock XG1V4s (my local store had a pile of them) and there is another thread here about getting one shipped in those places.

I've swapped two at no cost.
