First thing to try is to unplug the power cord from the back of the XiD and plug it back in.

have done that a few times. its almost if the apps got glitched up on an update. thinking a factory type reset would set them back to original and then it will update them properly.

A factory reset helps alot. Especially if you get a buggy update.. I've had occasions where the box powers itself off and won't come back on, and a factory reset solved it. Although I really only recommend it as a last resort.

Can you please DM me the instructions for doing a factory reset on an Xi6 box?
