Re: No sound on any channels

I'm having the same issue. It's happened multiple times. I can get sound when I go through the apps directly loaded on my Samsung TV, but when going through the Flex 4k streaming device the sound will cut out. The only way it works again is if I unplug the device and plug it back in again.

what is the name of the HDMI port on the TV to which the flex set top box is connected? using the Flex's menu go to gear (settings) >>  device settings >>  Audio >> HDMI Audio Output.  is it in auto detect mode?

Rustyben,

The HDMI port is labelled HDMI 2 (ARC) and yes, the audio is set to Auto Detect (Dolby Digital Plus) in the device settings for the Flex box. I forgot to mention the TV is connected to a Vizio sound bar. Thanks for you assistance!

ARC (audio return channel) is to send the audio for connected (to HDMI) devices like cable set top boxes to the sound bar/amplifier. connect the set top box to non-ARC and connect the ARC to the ARC input HDMI port on the soundbar/receiver.
