Re: Audio sync problems solved with Video Description but then Spanish commentary on ABC sports

We have a new Samsung TV and older Sony and older LG...lip sync audio problem on all three sets since switching from ATT uverse to Comcast Xfinity.  We were told to turn on  Video Description . That works.  However when watching certain channells with sports ( especially ABC), the sound will change to Spanish.  Turning off Video Description brings us back to English commentary.  Then when we go to other channells we need to turn on Video Description to have the lips and audio sync.

We can certainly live with this, but it seems strange.  Any thoughts

moved your post to a new thread as the issue(s) does not match the previous thread.

Video description is for the visually impaired and when available describes movement of actors and the scene characteristics.  the default setting would be off. any new HDMI connected device attached to your TV will need to be set up with the TV's remote using the audio menu. Select a major network with a lot of talking that you can use to match lip movement to audio. in the TV's lip-sync menu find the adjustment setting and use the +/- settings to get it to what you desire. this setting is stored in the TV per video-device not for the TV itself.

thanks for reply.   When we set up TV we did use that setting. However it eally did not solve the problem.  Do you know why the xfinity tech help people told us to try turning on  video description and why turning it on solves the problem?
