Problem with Guide

Whenever I go to GUIDE and as an example, press channel 6 in GUIDE, instead of taking me to Channel 6 or 3 or 10 in GUIDE so I can see what's coming on, it takes me right to that channel, not in GUIDE but actually changes stations to that actual channel...

It's very frustrating when you are watching a show on another channel and it leaves that channel and takes you to a different one.

Any solutions? I "restarted"  the box but it doesn't help

Re: Problem with Guide

Try waiting until the channel is displayed in the search bar, if you hit ok before the channel is displayed it will tune to the channel. Restarting the box won’t solve it.

Thanks...yea, I know exactly what you mean, but many times that doesn't work either...

adding... don't select the channel just hit enter when it appears. navigating to the channel listing on the search box will tune you to that channel.

Re: Problem with Guide

I'm having this same problem on every remote in the house. I select guide type in the channel and rather than show the guide for that channel and those below it it tunes to the channel. It's very frustrating.

as posted above, don't hit the ok button so fast. when the search fills in then press OK and the guide will go to your channel. Do it too fast (before any results) and it goes to the channel instantly.
