Playback issues-help!
This morning I discovered that every show I had recorded last night was a cloud version. I did some test recordings and It would only offer me a "free" cloud version. I have 5 boxes and the only one working properly is my main DVR. I discovered that not only last night's recordings were cloud versions, but every recording on the 4 boxes were cloud DVR versions while all the same recordings on the main DVR are as they should be -DVR. Any thoughts as how to fix this? I have done a restart on the problem boxes and did a system refresh. I thought all my boxes would go out during the refresh, but only the main DVR did.

Is your gateway/modem a rental? is the LED for MoCA turned on as viewed from the back of the gateway?

My modem is not a rental and I don't know what your other question means or how to answer it.
If you are referring to my router, it is an Apple device. In any event , all lights on either device that should be on, are on.

thank you for the reply. It answers questions about how communications are working. on one of the companion (non-DVR) set top boxes, play a recording and after the menu elements fade out hit the OK button. lower left does it say DVR or has a white cloud icon in front of DVR?

As I said in my initial post, I have 5 boxes and only the main DVR has DVR recordings. All the recordings that were previously labled DVR recordings on those other 4 boxes are now cloud recordings along with a degraded picture and 2 channel stereo. I don't even have to hit the OK button to verify a cloud recording, as it becomes obvious when I select "watch" and it takes 5-10 seconds to appear instead of the 1 second for DVR recordings.
