Pair x15 to Yamaha AV receiver

My x15 operates my tv ( on and off), but it does not turn on and off my Yamaha HTR-6090 receiver.  After 3 months, No one at Comcast can pair my remote to my receiver.  I am using two remotes!  Help!

So I had the old Remote and the tech set up the NEW one after 5/6 trys. It was not the first codes but now it works.

Have you tried manually entering codes or just using onscreen codes?

There certainly are onscreen Yamaha codes. But have you tried the manual method? Not every device is compatible, if you’ve tried each method and it still doesn’t work, you might be out of luck

No numbers are provided for this Yamaha receiver.

I bought a Yamaha 485 and cannot get my Xfinity remote to turn the unit on/off. It operates the volume but nothing else. Bummer.......

Have you tried to manually find a code that works? What have you tried?

My Xfinity trouble shooting prompted a service tech visit for other wiring issues. Let's see what he says.

A 3 digit code is used to pair the remote to the box. A 5 digit code is necessary to pair your device to remote

I've manually entered the codes given by the onscreen set up manager provides by Xfinity several times. Not sure there's a way to avoid Xfinity but open to "how to" suggestions!!

Manually entering the codes that you’re given isn’t the same as manually finding the codes

Press the A+D button, then entering 992, then CH up until the receiver powers off.

That only take me to the same set up screen I've already tried. There's no where to use a three digit code.

I get that...... But it doesn't seem to change anything. Thx for your help though.
