Ordering a new remote

Why is it so difficult to request a new remote? I don't live close enough to a store where I can just drive there and swap out my current remote so I need to have one sent to me; however, this seems to be an impossible task. I can't seem to be able to get this accomplised no matter how hard I try. I have attempted several times to do this through the chat feature which does not work. It just keeps asking me how it can help me make changes to my account. I don't need changes made to my account. I just need a new remote. Any advice on how to get this accomplished without having to drive over an hour to a store would be great.

On the Xfinity Chat with the Bot, just say “agent” and it should connect you to an agent. From there, the live agent should be able to help you order a new remote. I actually ordered a remote this way yesterday. I’m pretty sure there is a $5.00 fee when ordering a remote (if you aren’t already aware)
