I have a XID-P box that came with our XG2 system. It’s several years old and has never been used. Last week I tried to use it with a newly installed TV in 2nd bedroom. It gets stuck on the “connecting to your entertainment experience” screen. I’ve tried resetting numerous times. I requested the signal be resent and I ohmed out the coax cable as well as tried a different coax cable. I’m thinking that maybe the XID-P box needs some sort of activation signal sent or a firmware update since it is a few years old? The XG2 box works without issue. Any ideas or suggestions?
Thanks for the reply. It was indeed de-activated. I stopped by the xfinity store yesterday and they re-activated it. When I got home I did a “system restart” via the remote and now everything works perfect.
