New Fire TV - sound but no video

Hey all - bought a new Insignia Fire TV over the weekend,  at first connected it to the box via coaxial cable, was getting no input signal from the box at all. Then connected it via HDMI cable; now I'm getting audio, but the only images are changing landscape screensaver-like pics.

 

Anyone else encounter this, and if so, how to fix it?

Greetings, @kgasmart1! I hope your week has been treating you well. Thanks so much for taking a moment out of your busy day to leave a post on our community forum. I'm sorry to hear you're having issues with your new TV, but you have definitely come to the right place for assistance.

Can you tell me a little more about the images you are seeing? Is your cable box stuck on the screensaver, or can you hear navigation sounds and dialogue coming from the speakers? Have you tried using a different HDMI cable, or moving it around to different HDMI ports on the TV and/or cable box?

You’re getting video it just sounds like the screensaver is on, did you try pressing any remote button to “wake” it up? Or resetting the box?

Yep that was it, restarted the cable box (again; had already done this) and it's now working. Thanks!
