New DVR Series Priority

Hi, we need to get a new DVR since the current one has a few issues. Question, does the X1 system retain our scheduled programs (and priority)? When we get the new DVR and set it up will we still have our scheduled programs or should we make a list and have to redo them manually. Thanks for any help.

If you already have X1, it will remember everything. If you are moving from the old legacy iGuide, then you will have to recreate everything.

I'm not sure if X1 has priorities. Since most of the boxes have 4 or 6 tuners, or are cloud-based, it will be rare to need priorities to decide what to record.

Thanks Andy, just changing from one X1 DVR to another... first time we have had to replace a box so its good to know we won't have to redo everything since we have 100+ scheduled recording.

adding.... when you install the new DVR you will have access to the last 60 hours in the cloud but they will roll off quickly. go to gear (settings) device settings  and to bottom and run the 'sync DVR' option. this will give the DVR the programming time/channels for the current day. overnight reboot will keep it up to date. the xfinity > saved > scheduled > down up and right-right to the series priority will let you adjust or see the current series priority. the list is all cloud based so swapping out the set top box will not lose any of your settings.
