Loss of Signal on X1 Box

Hello,

I recently changed my main X1 box to a different cable jack and connected that jack to the Commscope CSMAPDU5VP.  I have now lost signal on another TV in the house that uses the small X1 box not the big main box.  What can I use to boost the signal or will that even work to the box that is not working?

What port on the amp are you using? The boxes need to communicate, whatever you did knocked out communications

Re: Loss of Signal on X1 Box

The main X1 box is connected to out 2 (working), small X1 box connected to out 3 (working), small X1 box connected to out 4 (not working).  The only one I changed was Mian X1 box.  It is in the same port but a new cable connected through another jack on the opposite side of the room from the original.  I tried to upload a picture but the file was to large.

Try resetting all 3, could also be the new cable

Re: Loss of Signal on X1 Box

I did a full system refresh.

The non working box has an RDK-03036 code, red screen saying to tighten cables and then restart.

Re: Loss of Signal on X1 Box

The first thing that I tried when this happened was to run a new cable to that jack.  Both have this same issue.  Comcast even sent me a new box.  They won't send anyone out here to fix the issue right now do to the current CoVid-19 situation.  They reccomendation on the phone was to add wifi range expanders.  The non working box didn't move at all so I didn't think wifi should have anything to do with it.

What happens when you put it back the way it was originally? Or put the dvr where the non working box is temporarily and see if it boots up

Re: Loss of Signal on X1 Box

I have reset up everything as it was before and now I don't get the RDK-03036 error but the box will still not let me setup.  It freezes at the account address page.  I have tried to do the box reset through my phone and on the Xfinity website and it will not reset that way.  I have to unplug it to reset.
