HBO Max on X1 not the same as through the app

Yesterday, I accessed HBO Max though my X1 platform (thank you Xfinity). But, it does not seem the same as when I use an app (on my PS4 or tablet, for example). The glaring difference I notice is that there is no way to select favorites or to bookmark movies or shows to view later or to access or set up a profile. Is this functionality coming to the X1 platform?? It would seem to me, the  HBO Max app should function the same, no matter what I use to view the shows (X1, PS4, tablet, phone, etc.). Thank you.

If it's like most other streaming platforms, it's more of an issue with HBO developers than Comcast. They probably write the software and Comcast just provides a development kit and programming interface.

Came here looking to see if anyone else posted this yet.

No profiles so every show watched is under the first user.

No "continue watching" so when you want to continue a show you have to search for it every time.

I'm happy it's on X1 now but I'll continue to watch on my Roku until these are fixed.  I'm also happy it's on Roku now.

To continue watching a movie call it up on your voice remote and it will pick up where you left off. I started watching "Blow" and I can leave max and come back later and call it on the voice remote and the thumbnail will come up saying play on hbo max and you click on and it picks up where you left off. Not sure how it would work for docs or series but for movies it is ok. Not exactly continue watching but better than nothing

Yes understood but the problem with that is if you have different profiles then the person that calls up that show is now logged on as the first person.  For example, with HBO Max we have 3 profiles (myself, wife, child).  If my wife uses voice to watch a show or movie then when I login to HBO Max on Roku or my tablet I see all her shows under my account now.  This used to happen with Netflix and Prime on X1 but it looks like they fixed it so it now brings up the profile screen first.
