Daily Update Time

I know I can change the daily update time, but sometimes when I don't change it early enough it doesn't take that day.  It takes the day after.  So, say it's set to update between 6 - 8 AM.  At 10 PM the night before I change it to update from 8 - 10 am.  It still updates between 6 - 8 AM.  My change doesn't take unitl the day after.  But if I made the change at, say 8 PM or before, it will.  I want to know what the timeframe is to have it work the next day.  Does there have to be 12 hours or something between the time I change it and the time it makes the change?

Having pretty much the same issue on one of my boxes... Its set for 10AM - 12PM but when I goto change it, it doesn't confirm and takes me right out with the same time. Why is XFINITY sooo behind in times.
