Bdrm tv loses signal

I've had this setup in the bedroom for over a year without much trouble. Now it freezes and pixelates, drops signal and gives me a black screen saying "check signal", then it will come back on and drop again after a couple minutes, or it might stay on for hours. It always happens during that daily update that is obviously worthless, it will stay off with same error message til I unplug the box. The living room TV does not seem to have any connection to this problem, it stays on as normal.
Rebooting box from account page doesn't ever work, and I have checked and reconnected every cable in the bedroom.
Right now, it is kicking off and coming back on its own every minute or so.
Very annoying when watching something, and with the money we pay every month this service should be stellar.

What type of box do you have?

I actually have no idea. It says XiD-P on the bottom of it.
Would that be the model number?

Re: Bdrm tv loses signal

That XiD depends on good communication from the main box. Bad cable, too many splitters or bad equipment are the usual culprits that can give you what you’re seeing. It may require a tech out to fix

I was afraid of that, having to call out a tech, but I'm sure you are correct.
