Audio Video Synch Issues Since Last Firmware Update

After the most recent firmware update, my audio and video are no longer in synch if set to 5.1 Dolby Digital. I got a replacement X1 box, same issue. If I restart the box it will be in synch for awhile, the drift out of synch. To keep it in synch I have to switch the X1 to stereo. I also have a tivo mini hooked up to the same tv with no issues.

it is the TVs job to keep the two in sync. is the cable box connected directly to the TV? did you try a new (better) HDMI cable?

Yes.  I replaced the X1 box and the hdmi cable.  As my previous post indicates, I also have a Tivo Mini hooked up to the same tv with no issue.

 

If I restart the X1 box it will work fine, for awhile.

is the X1 set top box connected to either the HDMI 1 or HDMI 2 connector on the television?
