Anyone else have slow response times?

Been living with this for going on a year but anyoen know a fix for slow response from the remote?

When I first reported it to Xfinity they suggested reboot..ok..tried..did bupkus.

Then they said faulty equipment. Take it to nearest store and replace it.

Ok. Done.

Everything worked great for a while and then the same issue.

Click on Guide and it takes a about 5 seconds before guide shows up.

Click "C" for sports scores and its takes about the same time if not longer.

Click volume and same slowness...

Say "Recordings" intot he voice system and takes about 11 seconds before my DVR recordings show up...

What gives?

Why shouldn’t xfinity come to you & swap? Got same problem on 1 of mine.

Usually slow response is caused by bad signal quality, although sometimes a reboot/power cycle will help.

They could but it was faster for me to go drop off and pick up new.

I just had to restart my 4K box because of slow response and seem to have to do it a couple times a week, never had to do this when I used a TiVo. Not sure if it’s because my box uses the internet for everything even to just change the channel.

the TiVo is different as remote commands are handled by the TiVo box itself. the Comcast set top box passes on the command(s) received to a Comcast server which then issues directions to the set top box. if the in-home signals have trouble getting back to Comcast and have to be resent repeatedly until message is received, then you start seeing major lag times.
