Unable to stream

I stream using the Xfinity stream beta app every day in my office. Just starting mid day today live tv will not stream. The guide works, every thing loads appropriately but when I select a channel the screen just goes black.

normally stream beta refers to roku and certain TV models that access the cable subscription at home while connected to the home wifi. are you perhaps speaking of a desk/laptop or a smart device (phone/tablet)?
