Why is my post about removal of slow-mo put in a LOCKED THREAD?
I just learned Comcast REMOVED the slow motion feature. Now an IMPORTANT facet of watching sports telecasts on the DVR has been taken away.
Yet after I ASKED WHY such a stupid decision would be made at a time when people are cutting the cord and LIVE SPORTS is a key reason some folks stay, my question was dumped into a LOCKED THREAD where no further discussion could take place?
Is that what I get for being a LOYAL CUSTOMER SINCE 1997??

Putting my question in a locked thread does not allow any conversation or participation. What is the problem?
Comcast has removed the slow motion feature, I can no longer press play and fast forward to see slow motion.
Why would Comcast take away a key feature used by sports fans when customers are cutting the cord and live sports is one of the few reasons people stay with Comcast?
As loyal customer since 1997, I would like to know.
PLEASE STOP DELETING MY POSTS AND MOVING THEM TO LOCKED THREADS.

The real question is, how is removing that feature a good thing? Sure, Comcast can say "not enough people were using it", but what about the ones that were? Does Comcast think about the customers that they're alienating? What do they have to gain by removing this feature and is it more important than completely annoying customers? Especially long time loyal ones?
Purely stupid if you ask me. Particularly when live sports is among the top programming where people use slow motion. Taking a feature like that away from sports fans when you're losing customers to cord cutting is poor business acumen. But it's insanely stupid given live sports is one of the few reasons people don't cut the cord. Comcast has given me the best reason yet to do just that.
Thank you for providing that link to the original post, though the thread was nowhere to be found when I closely looked two times on the 1st and 2nd page of this forum where it was originally posted. After my original post was moved into a locked thread, you can understand why I did not give Comcast the benefit of the doubt.

The slow motion feature currently only works with the linear/QAM channels on the X1 platform.
As new channels are added as IP only, you'll notice that they are cloud recording only (not on your hard drive) and slow motion doesn't work. If you pause while watching, instead of selecting slow motion it'll just go directly into FF. This is probably due to nothing actually being stored or buffered on a hard drive but instead the IP channels are all cloud based.
