Turn of "time out" feature for recorded shows

when watching a recorded show from the saved menu, if it is paused for too long, it will time out. this closes the show and goes back to cable which automatically starts playing.

I was told by an xfinity representative that the timeout is to prevent screen retention, so there is not a way to turn off the time out feature

The representative said that it could be added in the future, and to make a post and see if others would like a similar feature?

This is a HUGE problem for me as well. Made worse by the fact that it’s sometimes a real pain to find the show again - sometimes it shows up in the recently watched section, but mostly it does not. Please fix this, either by having it not time out or by making it easier to get back to the show.

I agree!! I get SO frustrated when my show exits out because I needed to step away for a quick phone call. I hate having to navigate all the way back to the show every time to play it! This happened to me 5 times last night alone and is a daily issue. I have considered changing my service JUST because of this frustrating issue with their platform. Please give us the option to turn this feature off or get rid of this altogether!
