Who else has the "Long Running Script" error when using Xfinity Connect?

Since the other thread about the "Long Running Script" error is closed. I'll start a new one.

Since about November of 2019 or earlier when running Windows 10 and Microsoft Edge, checking emails stops often with "Long Running Script" error.

Comcast said they are working on it, but that was several weeks ago. 

Another update was that they were testing it, but that was two weeks ago.

Is there a fix in the system? 

Anyone else dealing with this?

The issue overall is in regards to how many lines of code of JavaScript is processing on the website, which some systems cannot process all of and end up producing the "long running script" error. This can be also tied to specific browsers. The temporary work-around is to use a different browser as it may be more efficient at processing the JavaScript. Comcast is investigating this issue as you mentioned and once a fix has been implemented, you will notice less errors in regards to "long running script". No estimated time of remediation has been announced. 

 

I understand your concern with this issue, but creating new threads isn't going to resolve it any faster.

I do; at least 4-5 times a day.  This service is a mess; I'm leaving.....
