I’ve been trying to send emails through my Comcast email via Outlook, but they aren’t sending. I can receive the emails but not send any through. They keep going to my outbox.
If you are getting any Outlook error messages, please post the complete message minus any personal information. If the message contains an email address, remove the userID portion but leave the rest. For example, if the message contained the email address "bobsmith@example.net", edit that so it reads "********@example.net" before posting.
Can receive emails on my Outlook but cannot send for either laptop or ipad since arriving in Sarasota Match 20, 2021. Laptop and ipad both worked fine last May. Xfinity person at store on University admitted that there was a change last November by Xfinity and said to log off Outlook and then log back in and it would then be able to send email. Nice idea except I have not been able to find correct login password. I will not logoff without knowing I can log back in. Why is Xfinity making what used to be an easy transition so difficult? I do not want to change settings that will result in not having any email when I return home.
How can this problem be solved? In fact, I'm not even sure if this message will be sent out.
No, I am a Spectrum customer in New Hampshire who has been using Comcast here in Sarasota for over 15 years. If you google you will see where Comcast admitted and apologized for a problem they had last November. Sorry to have posted on the wrong forum. Guess I will wait until back North to send emails.
Hey @user_b399d1, thank you for taking the time to make this post. You should definitely be able to both send and receive emails from your Comcast email even if you are in a different location. You have our service set up in Sarasota, correct? The password you would use for your online account would be the same for your email since it is under the same profile. Do you have access to be able to log into your online My Account profile, or are you having difficulties remember your password for your outlook account? We'll do all we can to help get this working for you!
Thank you for your help on this thread @Again!

Do your Outlook SMTP settings match the ones on https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/email-client-programs-with-xfinity-email?

This is primarily a customer-to-customer forum.
Were you a Comcast customer before you moved to Sarasota? I am not aware of any "change that happened last November".
