Teacher Reward

I called Xfinity earlier today and spoke with an agent about a billing question. It came up in our conversation that I am a teacher. The agent said he had received an email about a teacher gift card and directed me to the website Xfinityteacherreward.com
I passed this info into a colleague who chatted with an Xfinity agent to verify that this site is legit. That agent said it is a scam. Can someone please let me know if this is legit or a scam? I’m confused why one agent would direct me to the site while another agent says it’s a scam.

This is a phishing site. Do not put your information in it.

If you look at press releases from Xfinity/Comcast istelf, the only one about teachers is from August and is about new accounts.
Why would Xfinity need to ask for your information on a seperate website when you could just log in to your regular account and send them a note that you are a teacher?
Why would Xfinity need your birthdate?
This is a SCAM. Don't input your informaiton.

@ComcastSPAAbuse: Can you please provide a reliable ruling on whether https://XfinityTeacherReward.com is a legitimate site, or a scam?

If it is legimate, why isn't it listed on https://www.xfinity.com/teacher?

Thank you!

Hello,

The website https://xfinityteacherreward.com/ is indeed a legitimate website. The offer expires on September 30. It is a new promotion which will be available for a limited time.

It does require you to enter the requested information in order to verify the submitter is an existing customer currently working as a teacher.

Why does the site not load correctly, and the navigation button not work? And why would the account number be needed? It seems like a phishing site. The url is also very odd. Could you better explain the legitimacy of this. Thank you in advance.
