Request for 4K assistance

Hi, I have 4K on my primary tv that has the XG1v4 dvr.  I would like to also get it on 2 other TVs that are now capable of 4K.  These 2 TVs have an Xi3 box which is not capable of 4K.  I went to the retail store, but they did not have any in stock.  I tried chat, but ther agent wanted to send me 2 additional dvr boxes that were 4K capable.

What  is the correct box to request and any tips on getting them?

thanks

are all of the TVs 4k? if not, ask for an Xg2 (companion set top box -non-DVR- with coax connector. it can loan out up to 3 tuners to other xi3/xiD/xi5/xi6 STBs which will keep the 6 tuners in DVR all available to use for recordings. The extra DVR options will give you more space but not more tuners. Do you have an Xb3/6/7 rented Xfinity gateway/modem (needed for xi6 4k companion set top boxes that are wifi only).

Re: Request for 4K assistance

Hi @Rustyben, thanks for responding.   Yes, the tv the DVR is on, and the 2 TVs I'm looking for new boxes are all 4k.  The 2 TVs have the XG2, but it is not 4k compatible.   I own my own modem, I didn't think the rental was required any more with the Xi7.

Thanks,

Don

if you are able to make an xi6 work on your setup they will be similar to Roku and Fire TV devices in that they will access only via TVIP (TV over IP) just like your phone/tablets/PCs access your subscription. the cloud DVRwill be available but at this time cloud DVR recordings are audio 2.0 stereo only. how fast is your owned gateway/modem?
